MARINE CORPS AIR STATION NEW RIVER, NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES - U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Christopher Thelusma with 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, examines an Essix Retainer on Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, Sept. 10, 2024. According to Thelusma’s leadership, he was selected as Warrior of the Week for his professional manner, mental fortitude, and hard work as a sterile processing department technician. Thelusma processed 1,200 dental instruments with zero discrepancies resulting in zero patient care interruptions. When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Thelusma replied, “The most rewarding part about dental is letting people go home feeling good about their smile and giving them a good confidence boost.” Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the qualities of an outstanding service member.
