Juneteenth National Independence Day Act

The Juneteenth National Independence Day Act was signed into law today establishing June 19th as a federal holiday. As the 19th falls on a Saturday, most federal employees will observe the holiday, Friday, June 18.

Due to prior operational commitments, uniformed service members will observe the holiday on Monday, June 21.

Military and civilian personnel of tenant commands who have questions regarding specific reporting circumstances should contact their chain of command or work supervisor for instruction.

All child development centers and youth pavilions will remain open for normal operating hours on Friday, June 18 and Monday, June 21. For a list of other MCCS facilities that may observe reduced hours, please visit their website at www.mccslejeune-newriver.com.

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune will remain open tomorrow, June 18, and will not cancel any previously scheduled appointments.
