HURRICANE IDALIA UPDATE: As of 9:00 a.m., Installation Operations have established Tropical Cyclone Condition 2 (TCC II) in preparation for impacts from Hurricane Idalia. TCC II is established when a destructive weather system with sustained winds of 50 knots (58 mph) or greater is forecast to affect the area within 24 hours. Although Hurricane Idalia is expected to impact us a tropical storm, we can still expect heavy rainfall between 6 to 8 inches to begin this evening and last into the afternoon Thursday. We can expect tropical storm force winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.

Tomorrow, Aug. 31, out of an abundance of caution, only essential personnel are required to report to work. Essential personnel are decided by each command. All personnel, including civilians, should contact their chain of command for guidance on reporting.
