MCAS New River Photos

Sgt. Aaron Smith, the crew chief of a CH-53E Super Stallion Helicopter piloted and crewed by Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 461 lands, helps guides the helicopter pilots while they bring the aircraft to a halt on Boston Common May 3, 2010, the first day of Marine Week Boston. The squadron is based out of Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., and have recently returned from a deployment with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of the Haiti relief efforts in February. The helicopter, along with sister rotor aircraft from other Marine Corps air stations in the Jacksonville, N.C., area, will be on display at Boston Common during Marine Week.
