James Reese, a St. Louis native serving with Headquarters and Service Company, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, cuts into the remains of a bush before removing the roots in Boston May 5, 2010. Marines will participate in approximately 20 volunteer opportunities in the area for Marine Week Boston, a weeklong series of events that give Boston residents a chance to interact with Marines and learn about the Corps’ culture, history and current missions.
