Francisco Flores, an 18-year-old senior at Roberto Clemente High School, poses with Marines from the Twentynine Palms Marine Band during a brass quintet performance at the high school here today. Flores asked for more information about opportunities in the Marine Corps as a musician after the performance from the Twentynine Palms, Calif.-based band. The performance was one of several throughout the Chicagoland area as part of the inaugural Marine Week Chicago, which runs through Sunday. The weeklong event provides an opportunity for Chicago citizens to meet the men and women of the Marine Corps and learn about its history, traditions and value to the nation.
